Director of Eskasoni Nepisulti’kul, a department within Eskasoni L’nue’kati, since July 8, 2024. With 31 years of experience from her previous role with the Eskasoni School Board, Carol Ann has held various positions, including guidance counsellor, teacher, and restorative practices administrator.
Holding a Master's degree in Administration & Leadership in Mental Health from St. Francis Xavier University, Carol Ann brings extensive knowledge and expertise to her community. She understands the complexities of Eskasoni's history and challenges, and is dedicated to supporting families and strengthening connections to culture, language, and community.
In her new role, Carol Ann will lead innovative prevention programs, providing resources and activities to support Eskasoni families.Nepisulti’kul looks forward to collaborating with community agencies to promote equity and accessibility for all community members.

Louisa Young is a proud Mi’kmaw woman currently working with Nepisulti'kul, bringing her experience in administrative support to the team and community members.
With a strong background in administration, she is the point of contact for various tasks and inquiries.
Louisa brings her cultural understanding, and community-focused values to her work and is always more than is happy to assist our community with any questions or concerns.

Anne Basque has 6 years of experience working with our community members. In her past job at Jordan's Principle, she helped families find supports and services that they needed. Anne is a graduate from St. Francis Xavier University with her Bachelor of Education and taught for 2 years under the Eskasoni School Board.
Anne's job experience has helped her see the importance and need in providing supports and services for our families, especially those with special needs. In her new role as Disability Support Services Coordinator, Anne's goal is to bring more activities, programs, and support to Eskasoni aimed specifically for our families with children or family members with special needs.

Congratulations to Brianna Paul who is our new No'kmaq Support Services Coordinator.
Brianna is no stranger to Eskasoni Nepisulti'kul and did exceptionally well in her previous position as No' kmaq Support Worker.

Larra, a successful candidate from Youth Employment and Skills Strategy joins us for 20 weeks as a No'kmaq Support Worker. We are very pleased to welcome Shaylene Googoo as our newest addition to our staff at Eskasoni Nepiulti'kul.
Shaylene comes to our department with experience working with community in the social services field. She is from We'koqma'q First Nation. We are excited to begin providing services for community members who are eligible under the Post Majority Support Services program.

We are pleased to welcome Vanessa Toney as Eskasoni's new Band Designate at Eskasoni Nepisulti’kul!
With years of experience working with our community's program initiatives, Vanessa has a proven track record of empowering community members through life skills development and community support with her time as Indian Day School Coordinator and Sarah Denny Cultural Center Kitchen Manager. Her recent role as a Case Manager for Ta'n Etli-Tpi'tmk has equipped her with the expertise to advocate for independence, employment, and cultural supports that foster community growth.
Vanessa has always been passionate about support roles as a way to give back to her community. As Band Designate, she is eager to develop and implement cultural and educational programs that will enable families to access resources, promoting empowerment and ensuring the well-being of our community's children. She is particularly looking forward to working with families to build a stronger community.

Katelyn Augustine, a dedicated and compassionate professional, has been a member of our community for quite some time. As an educational assistant, she made a lasting impact, and now, in her role as Band Designate with Eskasoni Nepisulti'kul, she's continuing to make a difference.
Katelyn's passion lies in supporting families, empowering them to become independent and thrive. She fosters growth mentally, personally, and culturally, providing guidance, support, and transportation to help families access essential services. With two years of experience as a Band Designate, Katelyn brings a warm, community-focused approach to her work, advocating tirelessly for families.
